"B & S" F-tubas are available in a comprehensive selection of bore and valve configurations. They are among the most popular F-tubas ever built and enjoy widespread use all over the world. Their design concept reflects decades of experience in brasswind manufacturing while respecting the most demanding musical criteria. New models PT-15 and PT-16 continue the tradition of sound and playing ease for which "B & S" F-tubas are famous. As with the PT-20/P CC-tubas, the bell features a wider throat, a new leadpipe and other design criteria which provide for broad dynamic range and great breadth of sound in all registers. The PT-15 and PT-16 offer comfortable response, not dissimilar to that of contrabass tubas. The sound is full and resonant while providing the scintillating tonal quality for which "B & S" Perantucci instruments are noted. These tubas offer great agility and flexibility, in response as well as sound. Pick up and play a PT-15 or PT-16, it is a unique experience.
